DS Lite Hinge & Axis

High quality replacement hinge and axis barrel for the Nintendo DS Lite.

The DS hinge is housed in the DS's left hand side corner of the case and allows the top screen to stay open at a convenient angle. The DS's axis (AKA: barrel, or axis barrel) is housed in the right hand side corner of the case. Both the hinge and axis are required for the DS's hinge to function properly. If you have damaged the corner of your DS's case it is likely you have damaged or lost the DS hinge and/or axis also. We always recommend replacing the DS hinge and axis when replacing a damaged DS case.

DS hinge's can become worn our causing the hinge to become 'floppy'. If the DS's hinge is worn out you will find the DS's top screen will no longer stay open at a convenient angle, instead the top screen will 'flop' all the way open or all the way closed. Is is very frustrating to play a DS with a worn out hinge. Replacing the DS's hinge will resolve this issue and have you loving your DS again!
