DSi D-Pad Power Board C/TWL-SUB-01, suitable for DSi models.

DSi D-Pad Power Boards have 2 functions. As the name suggest they house the directional pad (D-Pad) internal buttons and thus infer functionality to the directional pad, and also act as the DSi's powerboard.

As this component has 2 functions there are 2 DSi symptoms which  indicate you need a new DSi D-Pad Power Board

1) If your DSi's will not turn on:
     a) If your DSi is not responding at all when you press the power button then it is most likely that the fuse on the DSi power board is blown and that you need a new DSi D-Pad Power Board. If DSi D-Pad Power Board fuse is blown the amber charge light will often still turn on when the charger is plugged in.
     b) If your DSi does respond in someway when the power button is pressed it indicates that it is not the D-Pad Power Board which is broken but another component. Someways in which the DSi may respond when the power button is pressed and a component besides the D-Pad Power Board is broken include:
-one of the green, amber, or blue power light may flash briefly, or stay on
-one of the screens may flash briefly.
See our DSi repair guide for more information about diagnosing DSi faults.

2) If your directional pad (up,down, left, right pad) is not responding properly then you need a new DSi D-Pad Power Board

How to repair / fix / replace a broken DSi D-Pad Power Board
