Symptom
Power light turns on green briefly and then DS turns off. You may also notice one of the screens flash on briefly and that the green light turns on green dimly, then brightens briefly before turning off.
Cause
This may happen after an attempted repair or after damage is sustained to one of DS hinges. If this is happening to your DS it means there is something wrong with one of the LCD screen ribbon cables. If you're experiencing this after a repair you probably haven't connected one or both of the ribbon cables correctly.We've found that customers commonly do not to push the ribbon cables into the connectors fully.
Solution
Undo the ribbon cable clips and re-seat the ribbon cables into the connectors with firm pressure, you should feel (and see) the ribbon cable slide into the clip about 1mm. Close the ribbon able clips. It should be working now :)

Note, very rarely this problem will be caused by damage to one of the actual LCD screens rather than the ribbon cable. If this is happening to a DS that has sustained damage to one of the hinges you have probably damaged the ribbon cable that runs through the left hinge and you now need a new top DS Lite LCD Screen.
